Hello and thanks again for being a valued CellarPass community member!
We completed another update to our admin panel today that continues on our theme of improving the user interface to be more in tune with the next generation of CellarPass.
We understand that every feature in our admin panel is important to you- it's our goal to continue to innovate and improve our platform that will make your team more efficient while providing a competitive advantage over others.
For the past few major updates, we've been making some substantial improvements to existing features, interfaces and introducing new features that we know you will enjoy using. Today is full of new features!
We also see that many of you love the fact that you can report tickets via email which is a fantastic convenience, but please be sure to provide some background information, including which business or property, guest-related details and include some screenshots and so forth as it will make it much faster for us to replicate the issue.
Yes, our release notes at times can be long and exhausting to read through, but we want to make sure you are fully aware of what's been changed, improved or introduced in each release as some are larger than others. To get the most out of your subscription, it will be worth your while to take a moment and scan through the notes below.
RESERVATIONS
- We optimized the Reservation Details view screen to be more compatible with mobile devices.
- If you have Cancelled a Reservation, you now have the option to re-send the Cancellation email to the original email address or an alternative one.
- When booking a reservation using a fake email address, the system will warn you of such issue and will no longer provide the ability to send a confirmation email. Fixing the email address will allow you to continue.
- If an automated discount is applied while booking a reservation and you manually remove it, the system will no longer automatically re-add the removed discount.
- If you capture Additional Guest Names as part of a booking the complete list of names is now included in the Confirmation email.
TICKETING
- If you are creating a Ticketed event with the status of “Active-Public” you must have at least one ticket level public. If you have a Ticketed event with the status of “Active-Private” you do not need to have your ticket levels private, too. You will receive a warning or be prevented from publishing your event until this is corrected.
- When using Will Call as a Fulfillment method, you can see the number of tickets sold on a per ticket and per Will Call Location.
- If you are not using the How Did You Hear function on your ticketed event, the HDYH Report will no longer be available in the Event Dashboard.
GENERAL
- We have spent the last three weeks re-optimizing many of our popular pages on our website to gain better visibility to Google and other popular search engines. Images have been optimized, image sizes embedded and updated Alt Tags are already providing a surge in search engine impressions, leading to increased traffic to our website.
- We’ve expanded the use of our Frequently-asked Questions feature to be included in two of our emails; Reservation Confirmation and the Reservation Reminder Email. If you would like to have a button titled “Frequently Asked Questions” included in your Reservation Confirmation email sent to your guests, you will need to add the [[FAQButton]] tag where you would like this button to appear. This has already been added to the Reservation Reminder Email template.
- In the Promotions Manager, we have moved the Promotions type field to the left-hand column so that it’s more obvious what type of Offer you are building.
- We have deprecated our support and integration with the Reserve Cloud platform, effectively immediately.
- When a payment fails, we are recording more details as to why the transaction failed. Please note that some payment gateways provide more details than others.

Today’s update to our platform also includes a companion update to CellarPass TablePro app.
- Pre-Assigning servers for day of or future days has been re-written and optimized.
- Refunding a reservation with Add-ons, gratuity and sales tax have been re-written and optimized for better performance and correct some calculation issues.
- Managing Wait Lists within the app for future dates has been re-written and optimized.
- Searching for booking availability has been re-written an optimized for faster performance.
- Changing an assigned server from one server to another has been re-written and optimized in this release.
GUEST LINK PRO v2.2.1
Today’s update to our platform also includes a companion update to CellarPass Guest Link Pro app.
- Refunding a reservation with Add-ons, gratuity and sales tax have been re-written and optimized for better performance and correct some calculation issues.
- Searching for booking availability has been re-written an optimized for faster performance.
