Like many advanced features in our admin panel. we definitely recommend fully understanding a feature before enabling it. The Ignore Holiday feature is not a feature to take lightly as it can have a negative impact on your reservations and holidays if not used properly.
This feature was designed specifically for properties that have manually shut down their availability using the Holiday Manager, but want certain experiences to still be available. For example, you want your curbside pickup to be available to be booked on days you are typically not open for visitors, but is open for customers to schedule customer pickups.
Checking the box for "Ignore Holidays" on an experience will do just that, ignore any holiday rules. So if you have created a holiday for say December 25th, but you check the "Ignore Holidays" feature on any of your normal experiences, you will indeed receive bookings for that day. Essentially checking this box will ignore your Holiday rules.
As always when making any advanced configuration changes, we strongly recommend you understand the upsides (and downsides) before committing. And when you create new Holidays, we recommend reviewing those dates in your widget to confirm that it's working as expected. And when in doubt, reach out to one of our team members to discuss your scenario as there may be better ways to handle it.
