This article covers the necessary steps to download and install CellarPass Guest Link Pro on your mobile or tablet device. You will need to have access to another laptop or desktop to complete the installation.
REQUIREMENTS
Before you attempt to download Guest Link Pro v2.x, be sure that your device meets our minimum requirements:
APPLE DEVICE REQUIREMENTS
- Apple iPhone 8 (or later) or Apple iPad Air 2 (or greater) Apple iPad Pro 2 (or greater)
- Running iOS 11 (or greater)
- Minimum 150MB free disk space
- Internet speeds of at least 100MB/sec (for best performance)
ANDROID REQUIREMENTS
- Android Tablet or Smartphone
- Android OS 9 (or greater)
Minimum 250MB free disk space - Internet speeds of at least 100MB/sec (for best performance)
DOWNLOADING
Be sure you have the ability to install apps as some company-issued devices may require the device's administrator's username and password to continue. Since Guest Link Pro is available to Android and Apple devices, we're cover the downloading and installing the app in general terms.
- On your device, launch either the Google Play Store app or the Apple App Store app.
- Click the Search icon.
- Search "CellarPass"
- Select CellarPass Guest Link Pro 2
- The app will begin to download.
- Click the Open button which will launch the app.
- Put the the device to the side for a moment.
LOGGING INTO THE GUEST LINK PRO APP
You will need to have a laptop or desktop logged into the CellarPass Admin panel to continue. You will need to be logged in with Admin-level privileges as this requires access to the Apps & Integrations section of our Admin panel.
If you do not have this level of permissions, you will need to find someone on your team that does to complete these steps.
NOTE: Once the app has been properly installed and authenticated, you will not need to login again.
- On your laptop or desktop, launch a web browser.
- Enter in the following URL https://www.cellarpass.com/manage.
- Doing so will take you to our Admin panel's login page.
- Enter your Admin-level Username & Password.
- Click the Login button.
- From the left-hand menu, select Business.
- From the Business submenu, select Apps & Integrations menu.
- At the top of this page, click the Download.
- Click the App Credentials button to the right of the Guest Link Pro credentials.
OPTION 1: LOGGING WITH DEVICES THAT HAVE ACCESS TO THE DEVICE'S CAMERA
This method will use the device's camera to quickly and easily access the app. Devices that do not have access to the device's camera, which will not allow you to use the "Scan Code" mode. Proceed to the next section that covers the "Manual" process.
- On your mobile device, launch the CellarPass Guest Link Pro app.
- Back on your device, you will be prompted to give CellarPass Guest Link Pro access to your camera. Proceed to click the buttons on your device.
- This will now enable your device's camera.
- In the previous section, we showed you how to get the QR code in the CellarPass Admin Panel. Click the App Credentials (Business, Apps & Integrations) button in the CellarPass admin panel. This will display your Login QR Code.
- Point the mobile device at your laptop's screen that is showing the QR code that was displayed in the section above.
- Once the device's camera has registered the QR Code, you should be immediately logged into the Guest Link Pro app, completing the setup process.
- All of your devices will use the same QR Code. Just note that if you ever change your credentials, the QR Code will change and the old one will no longer be accepted.
OPTION 2: LOGGING WITH DEVICES THAT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE DEVICE'S CAMERA
This will allow you to log in using the global login credentials used to access the app.
NOTE: Neither of the CellarPass apps use your personal admin login credentials. The correct credentials are provided in the CellarPass Admin panel in Business, Apps & Integrations.
- On the iPad you installed Guest Link Pro v2.x, go ahead and select the "Enter Manually" button.
- This will show a new screen that requires you to enter the following:
- Your CellarPass Business MemberID (enter this value from the admin panel)
- The App Username (enter this value from the admin panel)
- The App Password (enter this value from the admin panel)
- Once you have filled out the three fields, scroll down to select the Sign In button on the device.
- Doing so will launch the app.
- If this fails, re-try the login credentials above and try again..
