This article covers the basics of automatically applying a discount to a Reservation if a Guest is identified as a club member online
This article covers the basics of creating automated discounts on Reservation-based Events when a Guest has been recognized as a Club Member when booking online.You must complete the configuration in Step 1 BEFORE working on Step 2.
STEP 1
One of the first steps of this configuration is to determine how your Club Members will be identified as there are two methods.
- All subscriptions that include a Reservation plan can recognize club members and automatically apply discounts. Professional plan (and higher) subscribers can add real-time club member look up via one of our many integrated eCommerce & CRM systems.
- All CellarPass subscribers that have an RSVP Plan (Basic and Professional) can manually upload their Club Member list into CellarPass and use that list to identify Guests and discount automatically.
STEP 2
Once you have identified the method in which CellarPass will identify Club Members, follow the next steps on configuring those discounts. These are configurable on each Event built to accept Reservations and can discount based on different tiers that you may have for your Club Members. Therefore, to automatically apply a discount, you must follow Steps 1 - 9below for each Reservation-based Event.
For example, your higher tier Club Members may get deeper discounts than a lower tier Club Member would. You simple need to provide a way for CellarPass to identify those tiers via either of the identification methods above.
- Log into the CellarPass backoffice by going to http://www.cellarpass.com/manage
- Make sure you have synchronized your Account Types.
- Go to Settings, Manage Account Types.
- Check all the boxes to the left that are going to be used to either discount and/or provide exclusive access to a guest.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Reservations button in the left-hand main menu.
- Then click the Create and Manage in the submenu.
- Locate the Reservation Event you wish to automatically apply a discount and click the Edit button to the left of it.
- Click the Discounting tab.
- Here, you will see the ability to apply Promo Codes that have been built and lower in the panel, locate the Club Integration section.
- Click the blue Sync button to pick the club types from your CRM system that you wish to honor automatic discounts for.
- You should see a list of your Clubs or Tiers based on how you are integrated with one of our 3rd party partners or how you imported your list.
- Each Tier or Club Level will have a dropdown, allowing you to select from any of the automated discount types provided. Select a choice from the dropdown menu for each Tier or Club.
- Click the Save button.
- Repeat Steps 3 - 9 for each of your Reservation-based Events you wish to apply an automated discount to.
