This article covers the steps to be completed in order to integrate CellarPass with your OrderPort account.
The integration between CellarPass and OrderPort provides many features that helps provide a robust guest management solution. Benefits of the Integration
One of the main benefits of integrating CellarPass with OrderPort is the real-time data integration which takes places in several areas of CellarPass.
- When Guest books, they can be immediately recognized as a club member. In return you can provide automated discounts.
- When booking via the backoffice, you can search for the guest directly in OrderPort within CellarPass.
- When booking via the backoffice, recognized Guests will display their club member status. Discounts are not automatically applied on backoffice reservations. Use the discount feature or manually adjust fee to provide club member price.
- Reservations that are complimentary or pre-paid, can be upserted into OrderPort as a Sales Order.
Step 1. Enabling the OrderPort Webservice Account
One of the first steps is to contact CellarPass to enable the OrderPort service. To do so, you must submit a support ticket.
Once the service has been enabled, we'll notify you via the support ticket.
You will also need to contact OrderPort support to enable API access for CellarPass. Once this has been enabled, you will need to follow these steps.
- Log into OrderPort admin panel
- Select UAPI
- Select CellarPass details
- Select API Access
- Enable all 3 options (Orders Feed, Customers Search, Customers Upsert)
- Click Save.
- You can then you can follow Steps 2 - 4.
Step 2. Determining Your OrderPort ClientID
You can obtain the Client ID by logging into OrderPort, select Account Settings. It’s listed at the top of this page.
Step 3. Setting Up OrderPort Integration Credentials in CellarPass
Once CellarPass has received your OrderPort ClientID, we will update your configuration and run some initial tests to confirm the connection is running properly. We will then update the support ticket with the status. Please allow for 24-48 hours for this step to be completed.
Step 4. Testing the Connection
- Now that you completed steps A through C, it's time to test the connection.
- Select Book & Sell from the left navigation menu.
- Select any of the available Event Times like you would normally do to attempt to book a guest.
- Click the Match button. This will open up a new window that will allow you to search directly into your OrderPort database.
- Enter a valid email address for a club member that you know exists in OrderPort.
- Click Search
- If the integration is setup properly, you will get results. If this loops indefinitely, you'll need to review Steps 2 & 3 and try again.
Step 5. Troubleshooting
If you don't get any matches for Guests that you know 100% sure are in your OrderPort database, then the connection is not working.Please submit a new technical support ticket reporting of this issue and our teams will look into as to why the connection is no longer working.
