You can create up to three different questions that can be required to be completed as part of the ticket purchase process. Based on the configuration you choose, this can be requested or required at an Order level or on a per Ticket level.
There are 4 types of questions:
- Dropdown
This will allow you to set up a list of acceptable pre-built answers for the questions for the guest to select. - Short Text
Using this form type will leave an open input field that can be used to store their answer. - Multiple Choice
Similar to the Dropdown option, but this allows Ticketholders to choose multiple options from a dropdown menu during checkout. - Policy Statement
Designed to have a Ticketbuyer to acknowledge a policy such as "No Refunds or Cancellations", this allows up to 50 characters and can be setup to be "checked" by default or not. And whether it's Disabled, Required or Optional.
Configuring Questions
To set up your questions, follow the simple steps:
- Select Ticketing from the main left navigation.
- From the submenu, select Events.
- Click on the Event Name of the Ticketed event you wish to add a question to.
- From the menu, select Registration & Fulfillment.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the Registration Questions section.
- Click the + Add Question text link.
- From the next page, select the form type.
- If you selected the Dropdown or Multiple Choice option, you will need to add your different pre-built answers you wish to have the guest select from.
- Once done, click the Save button.
- Repeat Steps 6 - 9 if you wish to add two more questions.
- Once setup is complete, we recommend you review this by starting to sell a ticket through the backoffice, reviewing all of the questions and form fields, making sure they are setup as you expected.
Reviewing Answers
The answers to these questions are stored with the reservation.
- Click Reports.
- Select Ticketing.
- Next, select Ticket Questions.
- From the dropdown menu, select the Ticketed event you wish to view the Question data.
- Click Report. Doing so will display all the Tickets as rows and the related questions and answers data.
- One the right-hand side, just above the data, you can export this data out as an Excel file.
Changing Questions or Answers
Note that if you change the text related to the Question and/or the Answer, previously-sold tickets will not be effected. Even one character change, the system will treat it as a different answer.
