If you have enabled any of our available integrated partners, or use our Imported Club Member feature, you will be able to create automated discounts for ticketed events based on attributes on a customer in your 3rd party database such as:
- Active Club Member
- Account Type
This feature is currently supported with the following customer lookup options:
- Manually Import Customers (no integrated partner selected)
- Commerce7
- WineDirect
- OrderPort
- Wine Software
Typical Discount Scenarios:
- Club members get 50% off selected Tickets
- VIP Account Types get 50% off selected Tickets
Creating Automated Discounts
To create the automated discounts, you must first get a couple of the basics out of the way first:
- Import your Club Members or
- Connect to one of our Integrated Partners
- Complete setup, including activating Account Types
- Create your Ticketed Event
Now that you have the basics out of the way, you can follow these steps:
- Log into the CellarPass admin panel
- Select Ticketing.
- Select Events from the submenu.
- Click on the Event Name you are going to create discounts for.
- From the submenu, select Marketing & Discounts.
- Scroll down to the Discounts section.
- Click Create Discount button.
- A window will appear asking you which type of Discount you want to create. Click Select in the Automated section.
- From the Guest Type dropdown, select either Integrated Partner or List Management.
- Integrated Partner- This option requires an Integrated Partner to be connected and setup. Once completed, you can then click the Select List(s) button to add your Account Type lists managed in your 3rd party database.
- List Management- This option requires you to manage a List within CellarPass, whether that's an Imported Club Member list or a Guest List of customers you imported. Click the Select List(s) button to add the Guest List(s) you wish to provide access to this discount.
- Integrated Partner- This option requires an Integrated Partner to be connected and setup. Once completed, you can then click the Select List(s) button to add your Account Type lists managed in your 3rd party database.
- Now that you've selected your Guest Type and added your List(s), you can complete the rest of the discount setup such as campaign dates, discount schema, discount amount and other limitations.
- Click Save when done.
- Now that you are all done, by all means complete some tests before sending out invitations or making any announcements.
Consumer Checkout Experience
There are two ways to market your ticketed event to your club members:
- Using a button or hyperlink with the Promo URL attached.
- Using a button or hyperlink without the Promo URL attached.
Customer Already Logged into CellarPass Account
If a guest is already logged into their CellarPass account, upon landing on event page and clicking the "Tickets" button, the list of tickets will automatically be discounted based on the best-applicable discount for their email address.
Customer is NOT Logged into CellarPass Account
If a guest is already logged into their CellarPass account, the discounts will not be applied until they have added their tickets to the checkout and have provided an email address in the form. Once a valid email address is provided, it will then verify applicable discounts and automatically apply them.
NOTE: A customer does NOT need to have an existing CellarPass account in order to receive discounts. They only need to provide a valid email address that is associated with an active club membership or Account Type or Contact Type.
