This article covers CellarPass Roles and how that limits access or visibility of the platform.
I have a new employee, what Role should I provide to their account?
Roles play an important part when you assign the level of access to the CellarPass backoffice. Caution should be taken with Admin-level privileges. Admins should not be assigned hastily, especially if the new user is not properly trained on the platform.
SERVER ROLE
This is the most basic and minimal role you can assign to a User account. This level of account provides the proper access to someone who needs to work with guests on a daily basis, but does not manage other employees or events.
A BASIC-assigned User CAN:
View the Dashboard and Calendar
Book, Modify, & Reschedule Reservations
Sell Tickets & Modify Ticket-related Orders
Manage Invite Lists
Add and View Guest and Concierge Accounts
Open and close RSVP events
View Available Reports, Export, and Request Support
A BASIC-assigned User CANNOT:
Create or Modify Users
Make Changes to Reservation Schedules
Create or Modify Ticketed Events
Gain Access to the Settings Section of the Backoffice
View Full Credit Card Information (except for when booking or rescheduling a reservation)
Make any Changes to the Content Section
This Role is also used in Table Pro in order to display the User as a Server in the app.
ADMIN ROLE
The Admin Role is the top-level access and should NEVER be assigned to any new User without the proper training FIRST. The Admin-level Role has access to EVERYTHING in the backoffice, including all Basic level access and:
Ability to Create and Modify Users
Ability to Create and Manage Reservation Schedules
Manage Ticketed Events
Access and ability to modify Settings Panel and Content
View Full Credit Card Information
ACCOUNTING ROLE (REQUIRES RESERVATION PLAN)
This Role provides limited access to the Manage Membership area where the User can review Reservation plan invoices and company contact information. They are provided no other access to the CellarPass backoffice.
SERVER ROLE (TABLE PRO SUBSCRIBERS ONLY)
This Role is limited to Table Pro subscribers only. Enabling this on a User will enable the Table Pro to display this User as a Server within the app. No backoffice access is provided to this Role and is strictly limited to the Table Pro app.
