As you many of you have probably been wondering, what "Cellar Pass has been doing for the last two years?" The quick answer is a LOT!
We’ve been repositioning CellarPass back to our roots which is lead generation powered by a guest management platform like no other. We revolutionized the wine industry back in 2009 when we initially launched, many when tasting room managers saw no purpose of requiring reservations. Fast forward 10 years, much like eCommerce was back in the early 2000's, reservations is now a requirement to be competitive. But that's not all what reservations was about, it was about better understanding your guests BEFORE they arrived, than trying to quickly get to know them when they are right in front of you.
Early on CellarPass integrated with most of the popular CRM and eCommerce systems of the time, Vin65, VinSuite and so forth. Doing so allowed you to know whether you had an existing relationship with that guest, whether they were a club member or not and much more. Today, we're pleased to announce the next generation of CellarPass that is on the near horizon and with that preparation for the next generation, we officially announce the launch of Cellar Scout, a new membership service that will be another way CellarPass will be helping you be better prepared, to sell more and to create deeper, longer-lasting relationships.
With Cellar Scout, we are building a brand-new community of adventure-minded people that have a thirst for craft beverage.
Cellar Scout is designed to profile guests that purchase a Scout membership for $125/yr and in return, use our platform to create an online profile that helps us, help them get access, which can range from early access to special events (as well as our own invite-only events), complimentary upgrades and much, much more. It’s not necessarily so much about discounting, again, it's you providing access to Scouts that you will no doubt see positive results.
The upside for businesses that join the Cellar Scout platform is the ability to, for the first time ever, to create highly-targeted marketing that speaks to your brand, instead of sending the same offer to everyone. It also leverages our millions of consumers' booking data that helps us, help you better understand their travel and booking patterns. Every Cellar Scout member completes an online profile that covers their beverage choices, average spend, their travel habits and more. The more info they provide us, the more points they get and of course our data gets to be pinpoint accurate. You could call it club member for a day with Match.com-like introductions.
The program’s enrollment window for tasting rooms, officially opened on April 15th and we’ll close enrollment on June 30th. Memberships will go on sale to consumers once we hit the 200 mark which shouldn’t take long considering the great response rate we’ve been having. We of course are giving our Cellar Pass partners, you, first dibs to sign up.
, but any of us are happy to talk more into detail on how this program will blossom in ’22 and beyond. We're expanding our teams and will be sharing more news about those folks as they settle down over the coming weeks.
