This article covers how you can calculate the proper sales tax on your Reservation-based Events
We recommend that you first speak to your accounting department to determine if you should charge sales tax on your Reservation-based events as local and state sales tax laws may require you to do so.
If you do want to charge Sales Tax, no matter your deposit policy, we have the option for you to do so.
For reservations' tax calculation, we have partnered with Taxify ShipCompliant to utilize their real-time sales tax calculation service.
Simply edit your reservation-based event and click the checkbox on Charge Tax? to have the system automatically calculate sales tax based on the tasting fees being purchased and your local zip code will be used from the Location mapped to the event.

Ticketed Events
For those that want to calculate Sales Tax on your Ticketed Events, the ShipCompliant method is not required as the Ticketing platform already has built in sales tax calculations.
