If you would like to pre-charge for reservations using your USAePay account, follow these steps.
- Submit a support ticket requesting that your account be connected to USAePay.
- Once your account has been approved to use USAePay, you will need the following information from your USAePay account:
- Source Key
- PIN
- In the CellarPass admin panel, select Business.
- Then select Apps & Integrations.
- Scroll down to Payment Gateway (Reservations)
- Click the Setup button to the right.
- This will show a new window where you will insert:
- Source Key
- PIN
- Click Activate.
- Check the boxes for the types of cards you can accept through USAePay.
- Then click Save button.
TESTING
As with any changes, we recommend you test to make sure your USAePay settings are correct.
- Select Experiences from the left-hand menu.
- Select Book Reservation from the submenu.
- Select a date, number of guests and click Search.
- Pick any event's timeslot from the list.
- In the Deposit Policy which is top left, select Charge Immediately- Accept Declined.
- Override the price per person to $1.00
- Fill out the rest of the form using your email address.
- Enter a valid credit card.
- Click Book Reservation.
- The credit card will be immediately charged. If there's an error, a message will be shown with two potential issues:
- Credentials you provided for USAePay in step 7-8 are incorrect.
- Credit card not valid such as AVS mismatch, credit limit, etc.
- If the credit card was successful, you can go ahead and follow normal procedures of cancelling the reservation and refunding the reservation.
