With more and more people starting their searches using Google Maps these days, it's really important that you make it very easy for guests to book their reservations in the shortest amount of clicks. This means that you'll want to update your Google My Business profile which is where all of your business information is maintained that is then used by Google's services such as Google Maps and Google Reviews.
Creating a Google My Business Account
If you don't have a Google My Business account already, you'll need to start here. Complete all the forms as the more information you provide to Google, you'll benefit.
Adding Book Reservations Link
Okay, now that you have a Google My Business Account, you can add a Reservations link to your Google Business page.
- Log into Google My Business by going to https://www.google.com/business/
- From the main menu near the top left, select Bookings.
- This will open a window where you can provide a booking link. We recommend NOT redirecting guests to your own website, but recommend you add the link to your CellarPass booking page. Just be sure you get this URL from the admin panel and NOT use the standard URL that is found by going to our website. This will ensure that the source of the bookings are recorded as WGT and not as a referral.
Google can take up to 24 hours to update your content, so be patience and check back until you see your booking link appear on your Google Business page.
