As we know, there's plenty of options when it comes to reservations systems. And as being a company in this space, we continuously look for ways to improve our platform and service, while keeping an eye on our competition. Kind of like the equivalent of a winemaker or vintner tasting their neighbors' wines.
As part of our research, we have met with many former and/or current users of Tock which have shared some candid feedback which we have compiled into a presentation.
Before considering signing up for Tock, we recommend you review our report as some of their privacy policies (all your customers become theirs) and overstating of their number of referral bookings they will bring to your business should be considered.
A few were very upset about not being clear of their two-year commitment, cross marketing of consumers, raising prices with only 3 weeks' note and taking credit for the tasting room's own marketing efforts as referral bookings when they should have been charged as a direct booking.
