And with more people searching our website more than ever, now’s the time to harness that energy to attract new guests and grow your business in 2023. And luckily for you, it doesn’t take a whole lot of effort and time to achieve growth.
Develop Your Audience
This sounds like a really hard (and costly) goal to achieve, but it’s really not. There’s some simple tricks that you can do to grow your audience and just takes a little bit of your time:
- The simple rule of marketing experiences is very much like advertising on TV where repetition brings you new business. That translates basically that the more experiences and special events you offer throughout the year, our marketing will significantly increase. This is due to repetition of events being placed through our website, social media and email marketing. By offering more events, you are essentially creating more flypaper to engage new guests, but it also offers them more options to book into their itinerary.
- CellarPass offers the ability to “boost” your placements through all of our marketing channels. Simply contact your account manager, share your goals and we can develop a plan that meets your budget.
- One of the most overlooked and easiest ways to grow your audience is receiving Reviews through out platform. The more positive reviews you receive, the higher you rank throughout our marketing.
And the only way you can get Reviews from your guests is to be sure they are checked in. Once you check in a guest (ticketing or reservations) our platform automatically sends out an invitation to leave a review, allowing you to identify star employees or figure out what went wrong and address it promptly. - Create special offers that get promoted on CellarPass.com. Our website has a Special Offers section and is one of the popular sections for those that are looking to explore something new. By launching a “promotions carrot”, you can easily attract those guests that were either on the fence or just needed that little push to get them to book a reservation or buy a ticket.
Nurture Your Existing Guests
The easiest way to grow your business is to engage those that have attended any of your events or visited your business. Sure you could easily send out invitations and promotions to encourage your guests to come back, but invite them to what? The same old experiences you had last year? We hope not.
The offseason is the perfect time to get innovative and reinvent your experiences. This is the ideal, low-risk time of the year to try out either substantial changes or make some smaller changes that could have a large impact. The important aspect of these changes is a feedback loop which is automatically developed for you when you check guests in.
- Send invitations to past attendees is easy in CellarPass. Simply create a distribution list using our targeting tools and create your invitation and get it out in just a couple of clicks.
- Create a special offer campaign as this works for both engaging new guests as it can be used to reward those that frequent your business. It can be as simple as discount on purchases during their visit, discounts on shipping, complimentary upgrades and so much more. We recommend that you create your promotions campaign so that it changes at least every 3 months. That way you test the waters as what resonates with your guests- and what does not.
Increase Frequency
You’ll be surprised at the opportunities you missed because your events were run-of-the-mill type experiences or simply didn’t fit the itinerary of potential guests. We strongly recommend that you offer a timeslot every hour on the hour for a basic experience and the more time-consuming events be offered mid-hour. By offering more experiences with more convenient times, you will no doubt grow your business in 2023.
As for special events, we’d recommend putting together an entire calendar year and launch those events with in the first 3 months of the calendar year. This will help you attract and book guests that are planning and booking their vacations now for travel times later in the year. So if you are in the habit of launching your ticket sales less than 90 - 120 days before the event, you need to break this habit if you want to grow your business in 2023!
And above all, we recommend hosting a special event at least once a month. This will engage a different type of audience through our marketing channels and also those guests that don’t like to book reservations.
Increase Revenue
All of the recommendations we offer here will no doubt increase your revenue, but there’s some additional ideas on how to achieve increased revenue in 2023:
- Start ticket sales early with “Early Bird” pricing. Our platform allows you to easily set when certain ticket levels (and their associated pricing) to go on sale and off sale automatically. By getting ticket sales flying high earlier on, you’ll have to spend less money later on marketing as word-of-mouth marketing kicks in.
- Offer multiple ticket levels, such as VIP for a higher price. You’ll be amazed what guests are willing to pay to arrive early, get reserved seats, bottle service and souvenir packages.
- Offer ticket levels that include a souvenir package, such as a t-shirt, blanket or bottle service.
Reward Your Ambassadors
You have brand fans and it’s time that you reward them. Seek out those that frequently visit your business or attend your special events and learn from them. Give them a call, get feedback and reward them for their loyalty. This could be as simple as offering them a complimentary tasting, free pass to a special event or discounts.
Determine a loyalty program so that the more they attend- and the more friends they bring, you’ll reward them. Skies the limit as far as how you reward them. We’ve seen everything from discounts to “Official Fan” t-shirts awarded.
